How to use the new moon in Taurus

Let the dark moon remind you to nurture your wishes to make them happen like magic.

New moon in a dark purple sky

I write this on day of the dark moon, time to be still to dream a little and begin to weave the magic of new moon dreams and action. The Taurus new moon reaches us on 19 May and it is a new moon that invites you to set intentions for comfort ease and what brings you pleasure and balance that pull to do.

The balance of sun and moon at this time, mean we are welcomed by warmer days that invite us to get outside in nature, to tend the garden and seeds, to walk gently with open curiosity at the blossoming green around us. But the moon calls for a balance to be found. This is a busy time for many with school and university exams and an energy in the moon that calls us to check our work and use the skills we have been working on to fulfil our potential.

The seeds that you plant at this new moon, require patience and persistence, action that is steady and nuturing, with steady steps forward - not leaps and bounds that might just burn you out.

The new moon is a time to be still and call forward your wishes for the month ahead, but it calls you to listen to the messages of Taurus in knowing where you need to be still, to encourage growth with consistency rather than a big 'flash in the pan'. For a new moon, it's a suprisingly emotional one, connecting even the most hard-nosed of us to senstive and difficult feelings that perhaps we have pushed away.  You can feel out of control with both finances and emotions at this time so make sure your new moon wishes reflect both the practical and the heart-felt.

The astrology of these time suggests we will be facing power struggles, conflicts, transformations and changes over the days and weeks that follow this new moon. So be careful where your moods feel somewhat scattered, where you can have 'your head down'  in work so much that you appear oblivious to other people's needs and emotions and where you may be trying to be too controling in certain relationships.
